Evoluted is a 40-strong, full-service independent agency headquartered in an 18th century steelworks in Sheffield. Founded in 2006, we still work with multiple clients from our early days but have grown significantly in recent years, both in team size and project scope.

Our team comprises specialist units across web development, web design, SEO, digital PR, content and paid media. While our client base is varied, we specialise in taking eCommerce businesses to the next level, whether that is marketing that fuels international expansion or unlocking new CMS capabilities through innovative web development.

We were thrilled to be nominated in seven categories at this year’s UK Agency Awards. Five of these are for agency-level awards, namely Digital Agency of the Year; Independent Agency of the Year; Integrated Agency of the Year; SEO Agency of the Year; and Best Large Agency of the Year.

Being shortlisted for so many agency categories is hugely rewarding for our team as we feel it perfectly reflects our values and the areas where we have worked hard to push Evoluted forward over the past few years. The “Integrated Agency” and “Digital Agency” nominations prove our belief that our full-service digital scope allows us to deliver fantastic service to clients by housing all specialisms under one roof, facilitating seamless communication between teams and projects.

We’re fiercely independent, best shown in our people-first culture which prizes staff wellbeing and sustainable growth over profits. We’re proud that our culture is largely unchanged from 2006 and hasn’t been eroded or hardened over the years.

We operate cultural officer roles across our team, open to anyone and rotated regularly, allocate time and support for staff side-projects and professional development, provide monthly mental health coaching and host monthly team socials and these initiatives are reflected in interviewees regularly telling us we’ve been recommended for our culture.

We’re delighted with the campaign-level nominations as they evidence two specialisms our marketing team is developing. Evoluted was originally a development-first agency with marketing services offered as an add-on – but our marketing team has grown significantly and changed that perception through industry-leading work.

Our “PR Campaign of the Year” nomination came for our work with fitness client Origym. We ran a “Gymtimidation” campaign, investigating the reasons women feel uncomfortable in public gyms. Shockingly, we found 60% of women have been harassed by men at the gym, and one-third want women’s-only gyms to be introduced so they can feel safe while exercising.

While this campaign earned our client significant media coverage, helping to establish them as a credible authority in their industry, just as importantly for us this was achieved through a socially-important campaign rather than clickbait. We look for the genuinely important issues

When planning our campaigns – this month we had a client invited to the House of Commons by an MP to discuss our campaign on body image! Digital PR is a new service to Evoluted, only introduced in 2021, so it’s great to see our approach rewarded so soon.

We were shortlisted for “Best SEO Campaign” for our work with camping equipment retailer Sea to Summit, a wide-ranging project which encompassed category restructuring, filming on location in the Peak District to produce engaging blog content, and intelligent keyword research to increase visibility for product pages.

The impact of this work was evident in the impact on our client’s organic sales – a fantastic demonstration of our growing specialism in taking ecommerce clients to the next level.

Congratulations to all the other nominees at this year’s awards and fingers crossed for the ceremony in September!
