Bamboo is an agency that delivers in so many meaningful ways: smart and strategic marketing, purposeful PR, and our carefully curated workplace culture. Working at Bamboo is a tight-knit group of seven experts, each contributing to the continued and ever-growing success of Bamboo over the last 24 years.

Team Bamboo’s PR and marketing prowess can be seen in our consistent client results, from thought leadership articles in digital infrastructure publications, to comments featured in international technology outlets, all while working remotely in a way that reinforces fun, collaboration, and respect.

Being shortlisted for both the Best Culture Transformation Initiative and B2B Agency of the Year (Small) at the UK Agency Awards is incredibly meaningful for us. This not only shows how dedicated we are to the success of our clients, but also to Team Bamboo’s wellbeing by striking the ideal work-life balance.

A Culture That Delivers Retention

We rewrote our own rules for remote work with the Bam Initiative, which recognises, above all that working from home can make the separation between professional and personal lives difficult to nail down. Striking a work-life balance that maximises creativity, collaboration, and efficiency for our clients and people was at the core of this change.

With that in mind, working hours were reduced from 40 to 32.5 hours per week at no impact to team member pay, and a tri-annual away-day (‘Bambusiness’), where the business shuts down so the entire team can meet to celebrate our successes and strengthen bonds.

We proudly work remotely from locations across the UK, allowing us to create high-calibre, effective marketing for our digital infrastructure clients, with repeatable outcomes and results like securing PR coverage with a readership of 12.3 million for a data centre client, and a decade working with a digital trust organisation that saw a 222.79% increase in organic website impressions.

Remote working for us works because, as a team, we have established effective communication, empathy and understanding at the heart of everything we do.

Adam Fitch (Senior Account Manager) says “Bamboo’s way of working, remotely, has enabled me to live exactly where I’d like while also working a job I enjoy! It’s a flexible working environment that makes me feel like I work to live, not live to work.”

Kat Gibbons (Strategic Director) says “As someone living in the remote Scottish Highlands, remote working isn’t just a benefit; it’s fundamental to how I work and live. The Bam Initiative allows me to live somewhere epically beautiful while continuing to do the work I love, without compromise.”

From Bolder Branding to Continued Client Success

Our goal this past year was to revitalise our brand by highlighting our clients’ successes. Rather than talking about our capabilities, we focused on telling real-world stories that demonstrate our marketing expertise.

The team efficiently delivered a strong portfolio of case studies, testimonials and educational stories that not only generated significant engagement but also deepened relationships with our clients.

This momentum fuelled a broader resurgence in our marketing, strengthened our LinkedIn presence through consistent content, supported the growth of our video strategy, and improved how Bamboo communicates value as we build relationships.

Alongside this, we launched a modern, content-rich website that reflects our current positioning and skills. The aforementioned case studies further reinforce this impact, as supported by performance metrics that highlight our clients’ achievements. Our revitalising initiative’s success rolled into the success of Bamboo’s clients and campaigns.

What These Shortlists Mean For Us

Bamboo stands out by combining strategic marketing with the creativity of an expert team from a variety of professions and crafts, including cybersecurity, journalism, hospitality, entrepreneurship and digital marketing.

What makes us unique is our ability to move beyond one-off campaigns and build sustainable momentum, whether that’s transforming a company blog on the world’s AI infrastructure buildout into authoritative thought leadership that compounds for months and months, securing highly targeted media coverage in workplace technology outlets that reach the right audiences in Unified Communications, or developing in-depth case studies that continuously reinforce brand authority.

Our competitive edge lies in this balance of agility and patience. We focus on meaningful engagement, relevance, relationships and long-term value. Whilst we can pivot in an instant thanks to our nimble team, we are huge advocates of measured thinking and depth.

Being shortlisted at the 2026 UK Agency Awards validates everyone’s continued efforts to produce brilliant work for our clients and for ourselves. We’re so proud to be recognised for being a brilliant place to work and as a great agency our clients can depend on.
