At MAD//Fest, we spend a lot of time talking about the future of marketing.
What’s changing. What’s next. What’s coming around the corner. How technology is reshaping creativity, how brands are evolving and what the next generation of marketers will do differently.
But every now and then, it’s important to stop looking forward and celebrate what’s happening right now.
That’s why we’re delighted to be sponsoring the UK Agency Awards.
Because behind every great campaign, ambitious brand and brave creative idea, there’s usually an agency team making it happen.
And we think they deserve a bit of a fuss.
Agencies are where ideas get made
At MAD//Fest, we see first-hand just how much the agency landscape has changed.
The traditional lines between creative, media, technology, content, experience and strategy have become increasingly blurred. Agencies are collaborating in new ways, building new capabilities and finding increasingly inventive ways to solve their clients’ biggest challenges.
But despite all that change, one thing remains the same: brilliant people making brilliant work.
That’s what the UK Agency Awards are all about.
It’s about recognising the agencies that are pushing boundaries, producing work that genuinely moves the needle and building businesses that people want to be part of.
And, perhaps most importantly, it’s about recognising the teams behind the work.
Because an award-winning campaign doesn’t magically appear on a Monday morning.
There are strategists wrestling with briefs, creatives arguing over headlines, account teams keeping everyone moving in the same direction, producers making the impossible possible, designers refining that final detail, planners questioning the obvious answer and clients who are brave enough to say: “Yep. Let’s do it.”
We know how much goes into it.
So we’re excited to celebrate it.
What MAD//Fest can bring to the agency community
Our job at MAD//Fest is bringing people together.
Across MAD//Fest London and MAD//North in Manchester, we create spaces where marketers, agency leaders, creators, media owners, technology businesses and innovators can meet, share ideas and occasionally discover that the person they needed to speak to was standing next to them all along.
That community is something we’re incredibly proud of.
And it’s one of the things we’re excited to bring to our involvement with the UK Agency Awards.
More than just another networking opportunity
We know “networking” can sometimes sound like one of those words that makes everyone immediately reach for their phone.
But we think the best connections happen naturally.
A conversation over a drink. A shared laugh about a particularly chaotic pitch. An introduction from someone you’ve just met. A conversation that starts with an award entry and ends with a completely new idea.
That’s the kind of environment we try to create at MAD//Fest.
Our festivals are deliberately designed to bring different parts of the industry together, because we believe the most interesting things happen when different perspectives collide.
And we see the UK Agency Awards as another brilliant opportunity to do exactly that.
Celebrating ambition, not just trophies
Of course, awards are about winning.
We’re not going to pretend otherwise.
There’s nothing wrong with wanting to take home the trophy.
But the best awards are about more than adding another shiny object to the office shelf.
They give teams the opportunity to take a step back and recognise what they’ve achieved.
They give brilliant work the attention it deserves.
They give people who have spent months making something happen a moment to say: actually, we smashed that.
And they give the wider industry a chance to discover the people and agencies doing things differently.
That matters.
Especially in an industry that moves as quickly as ours.
Why we’re excited to be involved
We’re passionate about the agency community because agencies are such a huge part of the MAD//Fest ecosystem.
They bring the ideas, the challenge, the creativity and — occasionally — the controlled chaos.
They’re also the people helping brands navigate a world that has become increasingly complicated.
AI. New platforms. Changing consumer behaviour. Economic pressure. The creator economy. Fragmented media. A million new ways to reach people and approximately zero extra hours in the day.
Agencies are figuring it out alongside their clients.
They’re experimenting. Adapting. Learning. Getting things wrong. Trying again.
And then producing work that makes the rest of us sit up and pay attention.
That deserves recognition.
So, what can you expect from us?
As a sponsor, we want to bring the same energy to the UK Agency Awards that we bring to MAD//Fest.
That means being enthusiastic about the people in the room.
Being interested in the work.
Creating opportunities for people to connect.
And, naturally, bringing a little bit of MAD//Ness along with us.
Because we don’t believe industry events need to be stuffy to be valuable.
You can have meaningful conversations and have fun.
You can celebrate serious achievements without taking yourself too seriously.
You can meet someone who could become your next client, collaborator or colleague while simultaneously dancing badly after one too many drinks.
In fact, we actively encourage it.
Here’s to the agencies
Ultimately, we’re excited to sponsor the UK Agency Awards because we believe in the people they celebrate.
The strategists, creatives, planners, producers, account teams, designers, developers, leaders, founders and everyone else behind the scenes.
The big agencies.
The independent agencies.
The challengers.
The specialists.
The teams who are doing brilliant work without shouting about it nearly enough.
This is their night.
And we’re very happy to be there for it.
So, congratulations to everyone who makes the shortlist, good luck to everyone heading into the judging process and — most importantly — cheers to the entire UK agency community.
Keep making the work.
Keep challenging the brief.
Keep surprising your clients.
Keep making the industry better.
And when it’s time to celebrate, we’ll see you there.
MAD//Fest is proud to sponsor the UK Agency Awards.
