After the UK Agency Awards, Sherbet Donkey walked away with their biggest award to date: Large SEO Agency of the Year.

Members of the team travelled to London for the awards and returned to Worcestershire with two reasons to celebrate. Alongside the main win, Sherbet Donkey also secured silver for Best Large Agency of the Year.

For an agency that started with five people in 2021, the double recognition marks another important milestone in its growth.

Building an Award-Winning SEO Agency From Worcestershire

The UK Agency Awards judges highlighted Sherbet Donkey’s growth, client relationships, results and company culture, saying the agency stood out for “exceptional growth, strong long-term client relationships and clear results, underpinned by an impressive people-first culture.”

Five years after launching, Sherbet Donkey now has a team of more than 40 and works with over 100 active SEO clients across a broad range of sectors.

Although its client base stretches across the UK, the agency remains firmly rooted in Worcestershire. The awards therefore represent more than national recognition for its SEO work; they also demonstrate what can be built outside the traditional London agency scene.

What Stood Out to the Judges

Long-term client relationships have played an important role in Sherbet Donkey’s development. Regular contract renewals are now commonplace, with many clients increasing their retainers as their campaigns and businesses grow.

Rather than focusing purely on acquiring new accounts, the agency has built its approach around delivering measurable work, setting realistic expectations and giving clients a reason to stay.

Its people-first culture was another area highlighted during the judging process. Sherbet Donkey operates a permanent four-day working week, with internal processes structured around maintaining output and client service while giving the team a better work-life balance.

The judges described the approach as part of a “modern agency set-up”.

Recognition for the Team Behind the Work

Founder and Managing Director Loki Hinton-Bowen said:

“Five years ago, Sherbet Donkey was just a handful of people and a lot of ambition. Now we’re a team of more than 40, SEO Agency of the Year in the large category and silver winners for Best Large Agency of the Year.

“I’m not an SEO specialist myself, but I know how to build a brilliant team, and these awards belong to them. They also belong to the clients who’ve trusted us to grow their businesses with them over the last five years.”

What Comes Next for Sherbet Donkey?

The next stage for the agency is focused on building on that momentum, continuing to strengthen its team and working with more ambitious businesses that see organic growth as a serious part of their wider strategy.

The two UK Agency Awards provide another marker of how far Sherbet Donkey has come in five years, but the agency’s focus remains firmly on the work, the clients and the results that got it there.
