Who are Target?

Target is a performance marketing agency with a creative edge based in the wild West of Cornwall. With a goal to help B2C brands to scale more profitably, more predictably and in style using Paid & Organic Social, Paid Search, SEO & CRO.

  • Target believes that all digital marketing can be ‘performance marketing; with measurable and specific KPIs, metrics and outcomes attached to each campaign and strategy that leaves our desks.
  • Target’s approach is simple. They combine a client’s business intelligence with their industry-leading talent, tech and strategic frameworks to create an effective and measurable environment for profitably scaling brands online.
  • What sets Target aside from other social and performance marketing agencies is the lateral thinking that is encouraged and runs throughout the team. They are not afraid to boldly challenge the brief if we truly believe there’s an opportunity for a better outcome for both the brand and the consumer.

  • Each day Target demonstrates, via their paid and organic social results, that they are capable of achieving the same, if not better, client outcomes as an established London agency – at a significantly more reduced day rate (due to our lower overheads).

Target launched in March 2019 as a one-person consultancy, which has since grown to a hardworking, passionate team of 8 salaried staff members and a trusted freelance network. For a small team that is geographically isolated from the M25 and tech-hub cities such as Manchester & Bristol, Target has experienced strong organic revenue growth at a sustainable margin. Staff retention is something that they are incredibly proud of. During our three years, Target is yet to lose a single member of staff, with their first two employees, Ellie & Jack, growing from Juniors to Head of Departments. Target’s team works hard every single day to make big agency ideas, social campaigns and outcomes accessible to the UK’s most ambitious challenger brands.

In the social media ecosystem, there is no constant, as such, Target has demonstrated that they are a dynamic, agile and adaptable team and has since been shortlisted for the Best Social Media Campaign Award. Whether it’s iOS14 making conversion tracking more challenging; Facebook’s removal of detailed targeting options; or new technology and channels rising to the forefront e.g. Twitter Spaces; TikTok; Twitch and so on. Target has always remained ahead of the curve, to the benefit of its clients. That’s what gets Founder and Head of Growth, Josh Fletcher, and his wonderful team, excited to fire up the laptop each morning. The opportunity to learn and evolve.

Target is a different agency from the one we were when we started back in March 2019, and will be different again whenever you next read about us.

On being shortlisted for the Best Small Agency Award, Target’s Head of Growth, Josh said:

“Being shortlisted for the Best Small Agency and the Best Social Media Campaign Awards is a testament to the team’s consistent hard work, creativity and lateral thinking.

We’re hidden away in west Cornwall, but we hope that being shortlisted for this award will contribute to providing Target with the exposure that it needs to accelerate the agency’s growth and open up opportunities to work on performance marketing campaigns with ambitious brands beyond Cornwall.

While Target does not yet manage the world’s biggest brands or budgets, we think and act as if we do.
